NESISM Celebrates Independence Day

NESISM Independence Day - Anwita Raman on NESISM 's Independence Day Celebration.

  On 15th August ,NESISM had celebrated India's independence day .The main topic was the life of "Captain Vikram Batra " .It showed how he had left his family to go to the army and how he sacrificed his life for his proud nation .

  Many students had a fair chance to participate and explain about the Kargil war .It was a great way for the students to comprehend about the Kargil war .All of the students understood the sacrifice of the great Indian soldiers who are now our heroes .There was also an art exhibition at the end of the celebration .

  The teachers had compiled the videos of the students and uploaded it on youtube .At the end of the video ,all of the names of the participating students were there .It also mentioned the names of the teachers in charge .

Captain Vikram Batra was a key part in India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil war. An online celebration was a hard feat seeing that all the editing, countless clips as well as the performances would have been very difficult to manage but NESISM had been able to manage all of this and put on a stellar performance. Vikram Batra was born in the Palampur District of Himachal Pradesh, Vikram had a dream to become a soldier from a very young age and he used to be very kind to everyone and was a class favourite of almost all his teachers. Multiple dances, songs and skits truly made this Independence Day celebration a memorable one for all those who have viewed the NESISM celebration.
