Today, on the 15th of August 2021, NES International School celebrated Mother India's 75th Independence Day, by depicting the biopic of Param Vir Chakra Late Captain Vikram Batra. The Founder Principal, Director of the school, many teachers and students collaborated to make this possible. The students from various grades took part in different aspects of the show. While some danced, some sang, some took part in the main skit and there was a display of the students' artwork dedicated to the Kargil war as well.
While this event was a celebration of our Independence Day, it was also aimed to convey to people that the nation always comes first. It also inspires people to fight for their nation in every possible way be it in expanding the boundaries of science and technology, the Arts or even in sports.
This event affects the viewers as it tells them about the people who sacrificed everything, even their own life, for the betterment of their country. Everyone collaborated well and the presentation was shot across various mediums- online and offline.
The Principal, Dr R Vardarajan and Director, Dr V Balasubramanium, both gave an empowering speech, telling the viewers esp the students that they should at any cost, defend their country from colonizers and evildoers. Students too narrated events that occurred during the war with extra zeal and honour. There was a dance which narrated the feelings of the mother of a martyr. Many students sang songs of praise towards India and its soldiers and martyrs.
The parents (Subha Natarajan and Ajay Somasundaran) of a PYP 5 student commented, "The video was very nicely planned and executed. It was able to showcase the biopic of Param Vir Chakra Late Captain Vikram Batra. All the aspects of the show with respect to scriptwriting, presentation and student performance was commendable. Keep up the good work and wishing the NES team all the very best for all future endeavours".
This video left a lasting message on the viewers to "Serve your Country". The presentation displayed the students' love for their country and that they would do anything to serve it.
