NES International School Virtually Celebrates 75th Independence Day

Yesterday, 15th August 2021 when the whole country was celebrating its glorious 75th Independence year, NES International School, Mumbai. also enthusiastically celebrated this important national event with their students virtually in the pandemic.

This pandemic did not allow the the students to celebrate the event in the school, however it did not dampen their spirits to commemorate this honorable National festival with full vigor
and enthusiasm.

The celebration began with the flag hoisting and our National song. It was followed by a speech delivered by our respectable Founder Principal Sir, Dr. R Vardarajan, who reminded us about the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. 

A biopic of Captain Vikram Batra was shown to students which instilled a patriotic feeling in students, who then took a pledge " India is my mother country. It is my life mission to serve it. I will safe guard its freedom. I will honor our National flag and National anthem, Jai Hind"
Students participated in many cultural events based on the patriotic songs and expressed their love for the country. The event was closed with a grand finale where students waved their National flags on a patriotic song tune.

  On 15th August it is India's Independence Day and NESISM has celebrated Independence Day by creating a biopic on Capt. Vikram Batra. Captain Vikram Batra was a key part in India's victory over Pakistan in the Kargil war. An online celebration was a hard feat seeing that all the editing, countless clips as well as the performances would have been very difficult to manage but NESISM had been able to manage all of this and put on a stellar performance. A parent stated that "My favorite part of the celebration was the gymnastic performance since it showcased the talent of the school. Vikram Batra was born in the Palampur District of Himachal Pradesh, Vikram had a dream to become a soldier from a very young age and he used to be very kind to everyone and was a class favourite of almost all his teachers. Multiple dances, songs and skits truly made this Independence Day celebration a memorable one for all those who have viewed the NESISM celebration.
