15th August, is one of the most important celebrations of India as India gained freedom from the British rule this day.  On this day, the sacrifices that the Indian freedom fighters made for the nation, finally paid off. We received freedom on 15 August, 1947.

The year 2021 has been conducted online due to the ongoing COVID - 19 pandemic. Everything is being conducted online, including celebrations. This year, NESISM held a livestream on YouTube, for the 75th Independence Day, in which the whole school participated in some way or the other.

15 August, 2021 was declared as the "Amrit Mahotsav" by Prime Minster Narendra Modi as this was the 75th Independence day of India. Everybody was enthusiastic for celebrating the Independence day, thus all teachers, parents, principal, workers and students contributed towards the virtual celebration in the best way possible.

We danced, sang, spoke, drew to show the love for the soldiers who have sacrificed for the nation. The event held spoke about Param Vir Chakra awardee, Captain Vikram Batra. We made a biography about Captain Vikram Batra. Captain Vikram Batra was one of the martyrs who laid their life to ensure that India could win back one of the highest peaks in Kargil that kept India safe from enemy. Not just Captain Vikram Batra but many other soldiers laid down their lives to defeat the Pakistani soldiers.

It was a very memorable Independence Day.
