Independance day is a national holiday observed on 15th of August every year.It is celebrated to commemorate the beginning of the day India became a free and independent country. It also marks the day when the Indian subcontinent was broken into two countries:India and Pakistan.Independance day is celebrated all around the nation with flag hoisting ceremonies, parades and cultural events with the singing of the national anthem.Preparations for the Independence day start a month in advance.Schools and colleges organise cultural events, competitions, debates, speeches and quiz competitions.Celebrations of Independence day are held usually in large areas such as stadiums and more.

We should be proud to be indians.I would like to pay a special tribute to Pingali Venkayya, he was the honorary person who designed the indian flag in which every colour represents a special meaning: saffron represents the strength and courage of our country, white symbolizes the peace and truth of our nation and green represents the prosperity and fertility of the land and when they are combined altogether there will be a magic of positivity.

Our distinguished Principal has kept a great tradition of celebrating this wonderful day paying tributes to the brave soldiers that have fought for our country and even sacrificed their lives for it.I applaud everyone who worked hard and participated in this glorious Independence day. I saw the effort and dedication that every person expressed in every performance that was presented on this memorable day.

With that note I salut and applaud every indian that has fought and celebrated this esteemed occasion.I wish you all a happy Independence day.Thank you dear teachers for working so hard with so much collaboration and dedication, making this a wonderful Independence day.
